Jonathan Roof's work experience begins in 2018 when they worked as an Analytical Chemist at W. R. Grace & Co. In this role, they operated analytical instruments for quality control, communicated with research groups about product quality, and generated efficient processes and methods for instrument use and data analysis.
Jonathan then moved on to work as a Chemical Technician Specialist at W. R. Grace & Co. from October 2019 to August 2021.

Jonathan Roof began their education journey at Virginia Tech College of Science in 2015, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a focus on Research. Jonathan completed this degree in 2019. Building upon this foundation, Roof then went on to enroll at Virginia Tech once again, this time to pursue a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science. Jonathan started this program in 2021 and is expected to finish in 2023.
