Joshua Barnathan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Joshua currently works as a Data Scientist at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Research Assistant at Indiana University Bloomington from 2015 to 2022, where they conducted computational and experimental biophysics research, modeling network dynamics and performing statistical analysis on large datasets. Joshua also served as an MCAT Physics instructor from 2017 to 2020 and held roles such as Health and Wellness Officer of Graduate and Professional Student Government, Associate Instructor of Physics, and Founder/President of Physics Graduate Student Council during their time at Indiana University Bloomington. Before joining Indiana University, Joshua worked as a Part Time Lecturer at Rutgers University–New Brunswick from 2014 to 2015 and as a Supplemental Instructor of Business Law and Microeconomics at Monmouth University from 2011 to 2013.
Joshua Barnathan completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Monmouth University in 2013. Joshua went on to pursue a Non-Degree program in Physics at Rutgers University–New Brunswick from 2013 to 2015. After that, they attended Indiana University Bloomington, where they obtained a Master's degree in Physics in 2016. Joshua then continued their education at Indiana University Bloomington, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from 2015 to 2022.
