Michael Breslin

Michael Breslin currently serves as a Senior Advisor for the AUKUS Submarine Program at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., since July 2023. Prior to this role, Michael retired from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in November 2022, where Michael held several senior leadership positions, including Executive Director for the Undersea Warfare Directorate and PEO SSN Executive Director for In-Service Submarines. Michael's extensive experience in submarine engineering and management encompasses roles as Technical Director for the Columbia Submarine Program, Director of In-Service Submarine System Engineering, and Deputy Technical Director for the VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program Office. Michael began a career in naval engineering in 1984, working in various capacities within NAVSEA and the Naval Sea Support Center, Atlantic. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master's degree in Engineering Management from The Catholic University of America.
