Peter Gaaserud

SVP of Contracts and Procurement at SPA

Peter Gaaserud has over 25 years of work experience. Peter currently holds the position of Sr. Vice President, Contracts & Facilities at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. since March 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Vice President, Contracts and Procurement at the same company from February 2019 to June 2022.

Before joining Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., Gaaserud worked at Engility Corporation. Peter held various leadership positions, including Vice President, Supplier Management from November 2016 to January 2019, Vice President, Account Operations from May 2015 to November 2016, and Vice President of Strategic Pricing from June 2014 to May 2015.

Gaaserud also has experience at Dynamics Research Corporation, where they were the Vice President of Contracts, Purchasing & Pricing from September 2012 to May 2014. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Operations - Advanced Systems Division from February 2011 to September 2012 and as the Director of Contracts from July 2007 to January 2011.

Gaaserud's earlier work experience includes roles at Nortel Government Solutions (formerly PEC Solutions) as the Deputy Vice President, Contracts and Purchasing from July 2004 to July 2007, and at PEC Solutions as the Manager, Life Cycle Management & Training Dept. from September 2000 to July 2004. Peter also served as a Senior Contracts Administrator at PEC Solutions from February 1996 to June 2000 and as a Labor/Management Representative at the American Foreign Service Association from October 1993 to February 1996.

Peter Gaaserud attended Virginia Tech from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Afterward, they pursued further education at George Mason University - School of Business from 1998 to 2000, graduating with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, with a specialization in Finance.
