Peter Newton

Peter Newton is a seasoned professional in systems engineering with extensive experience supporting DARPA's Technical Transition Office (TTO) through various roles at Systems Planning & Analysis, ManTech, and Gryphon Technologies, Inc. Notably, Peter has held the position of Senior System Engineer since March 2024 at Systems Planning & Analysis and previously served in similar capacities at ManTech and Gryphon Technologies from 2021 to 2021. Prior to his work in the private sector, Peter spent over two decades with the US Navy as Commander, where responsibilities included engineering assignments and program management for significant naval projects, including the Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers and CVN 78. Peter's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College.
