Scott Gilje has had extensive work experience in various scientific and advisory roles. Scott is currently serving as a Senior Scientist Advisory Support at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. since October 2021. Previously, they worked as a Senior Scientist at ICESS supporting SAIC from January 2020 to September 2021. Scott also held positions as a Senior Consultant for DHS Office of Innovation and Collaboration at LMI from July 2019 to January 2020, and as a Senior Consultant for the Department of Defense at LMI from September 2018 to July 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security at Belcan from January 2015 to September 2018.

Scott gained research experience as a Graduate Student at UCLA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry from June 2002 to November 2007. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Scientist for Corning Incorporated from 2013 to 2014 and as a Research and Development Engineer at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems from 2007 to 2012.
Scott Gilje pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from Binghamton University, which they successfully completed in 2002. Following their undergraduate studies, they went on to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 2002 to 2007. During their time at UCLA, Scott focused on Inorganic/Materials Chemistry and earned a Ph.D. in the field.
