Nathan Bourne

Nathan Bourne is a senior data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning, Python software development, and the analysis of multi-dimensional image data and geospatial data. They have worked in diverse applications across astrophysics, Earth observation, and climate, contributing to projects that address societal and global challenges. Nathan has held roles as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Nottingham, and has applied their expertise as a data scientist at Astrosat. They currently serve as a senior data scientist at Space Intelligence, focusing on producing high-quality maps of land cover in tropical forests using satellite datasets. Nathan holds a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Nottingham and an MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Leicester.
