Bill Tandy

Bill Tandy is the Owner of Space Steps, a free educational resource aimed at helping individuals enter and thrive in the space industry, a position held since November 2021. From February 2022 to October 2024, Bill served as Chief Engineer at Gravitics Inc, overseeing technical direction and contributing to the development of StarMax, the largest space module globally. Prior experience includes roles as Mission Architect and Senior Manager at Blue Origin, where Bill led architecture for the Orbital Reef space station and the Lunar Human Landing System, along with a tenure at Ball Aerospace as a Mission Architect focusing on concept development and partnership growth. Earlier in career history, a role as Network Administrator at Lone Star Pet Supply involved managing a multi-state network and developing custom software solutions. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Aerospace Remote Sensing from the University of Colorado Boulder and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
