Shehna Sagaria has a diverse range of work experience in the aerospace field. Shehna started their career as an Intern in Satellite Mission Design and Management at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education. Shehna then worked as a Mechanical Project Engineer at Indian Institute of Technology, where they gained expertise in engineering model design, probabilistic design, and optimization techniques. Shehna also has experience as a Thermal Analysis Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services and Rolls-Royce Deutschland, where they performed thermal analysis for aircraft engines. Shehna further expanded their skills as a Student Engineer at Center Spatial Universitaire Montpellier-Nîmes, focusing on satellite thermal system design and modeling. Shehna also interned at the German Aerospace Center, where they worked on the mechanical design of a hybrid navigation system module housing. Currently, they are employed as a Thermal Engineer at Space Structures GmbH.
Shehna Sagaria completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education in the years 2009 to 2013. Shehna then pursued two Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees in Space Science and Technology, one from Luleå University of Technology for the year 2016 to 2017 and the other from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg for the same period. Shehna furthered their education with a Master of Science (M2) degree in Space Instrumentation and Techniques from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III for the year 2017 to 2018.
Additionally, they obtained several certifications to complement their education. In March 2021, they completed the certification in MBSE: Model-Based Systems Engineering from the University at Buffalo. In July 2014, they obtained the TCS BDA Aircraft Structures certification from Tata Consultancy Services, and in December 2013, they achieved the Professional Course Certification in Viscous Fluid Flows from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
