Sumedh Joshi's work experience begins with their current position as a Systems Engineer - Aerospace at Space Structures GmbH. In this role, they are responsible for coordinating engineering aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle, with a focus on thermo-mechanical design, materials and processes, and testing. Sumedh also manages requirements, verification, and validation for complex space projects.
Prior to their current position, Sumedh worked at Airbus as a Development Engineer - Aircraft Structures. Here, they were involved in the development of non-linear static and dynamic FEA models for aircraft cargo structures, as well as the design and development of test rigs for rapid decompression experiments. Sumedh also conducted research as a Research Fellow, focusing on computational multiaxial fatigue algorithms for life estimation of helicopter transmission components.
Sumedh also gained experience during an internship at Airbus, where they worked in the Chief Engineering department. Here, they were involved in aircraft certification requirements for seat crash tests and supervised on-site dynamic aeronautic seat crash tests.
Earlier in their career, Sumedh worked as a Project Trainee at Fleetguard Filters Pvt. Ltd., where they were involved in the design and optimization of heavy-duty air filters using Design of Experiments (DoE) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) techniques.

Sumedh Joshi pursued their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Sumedh obtained their Bachelor's degree (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
