Usman Khawar

Usman Khawar is an experienced professional in the field of spectrum and orbital management with a robust background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Director of Orbital Strategy at Space42 since October 2024, Usman is responsible for managing spectrum and orbital resources for multiple satellite projects. Prior to this, Usman held several key positions at Yahsat, including Vice President and Associate Vice President, overseeing spectrum and orbital strategy as well as ITU regulatory affairs for Thuraya and Yahsat satellites. Usman's earlier career includes significant roles at Thuraya Telecommunications Company and the Frequency Allocation Board, where responsibilities encompassed spectrum management, frequency coordination, and ITU affairs. Usman holds a Master's degree in Communications Systems from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).
