Andrew Moore

CEO at Spaceship

Andrew Moore is the current CEO at Spaceship. Prior to this, they held various leadership positions at Westpac, St George Bank, and GE Capital. Andrew has over 25 years of experience in the banking and finance industry.

Andrew started their career at GE Capital in December 2004 as the Managing Director for GE Money Home Lending in Australia and New Zealand. In this role, they were responsible for the growth and profitability of the business. Andrew successfully grew the business and increased profits before moving on to St George Bank in July 2008.

At St George Bank, Andrew held the position of Chief Operating Officer. In this role, they were responsible for leading the bank’s transformation program which delivered significant efficiency improvements across all operations. Andrew also played a key role in the integration of St George and Westpac following their merger in 2008.

In December 2011, Andrew took on the role of State General Manager for Westpac’s NSW Metro business. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of 1000 branch-based bankers and 100+ branches. Andrew successfully stabilized and strengthened the team before moving on to their current role as CEO of Spaceship in 2017.

Moore has an MBA from INSEAD, a BEc/BSc in economics, accounting, psychology from The Australian National University, and a certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in GAIDC. Andrew also has a certification from Finsia (Financial Services Institute of Australasia) in F Fin and a certification from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in Chartered Accountant (CA).
