Spacesmith is creating impactful, intelligent, and sustainable solutions that advance our clients’ missions, business goals, and culture. We design spaces that support purpose, inspiration, and equity for stakeholders and their extended communities.

We are committed to continually seeking more sustainable methods, systems, and materials, with the belief that buildings need to be not only less harmful, but be part of the environmental solution.

For Spacesmith, collaboration is integral to the design process. Through open, ongoing dialogue, we draw from the expertise of team members and the insight of our clients to encourage innovative thinking and exploration of design possibilities.

Spacesmith considers function and spatial experience to be essential to the creation of form. We believe that well designed buildings and spaces are the result of creating meaningful experiences; experiences that engage the senses and enable physical, social, and psychological well-being.

With offices in New York City and the New York State Capital Region, Spacesmith has provided architecture, planning, and interior design services to our globally engaged clients since 1998. Our work spans many sectors including government, academic, corporate, non-profit, retail, and residential.

Our thirty-person firm is made up of a tight-knit group of professional in the disciplines of architecture, interior design, project management, programming, master planning, sustainability, and wellness. We believe the diversity of our teams and practice areas, allows for cross-fertilization, and knowledge sharing in a world that is constantly evolving.
