Niklas Ermann

Niklas Ermann currently serves as the Head of R&D at Spacetek Technology AG since December 2024. Prior to this role, Ermann worked as a Principal Data Scientist at Transition Bio, Inc. from April 2021 to November 2024, where a significant achievement included designing an end-to-end data pipeline for a high-throughput drug discovery assay linked to the PhaseScan™ platform. Earlier experience includes a position as a Data Scientist/Engineer at the University of Cambridge from October 2016 to March 2021, where advancements in deep learning for biomarker detection were made during the PhD journey in Physics, culminating in significant improvements in throughput and accuracy. Ermann's career also includes a student trainee position at Von der Heydt Capital Finance and a summer associate role at Bain & Company. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD and MASt in Physics from the University of Cambridge, a B.Sc. in Physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, and a BA in Business Administration from the University of St.Gallen, along with an International Baccalaureate from Malvern College.
