Alex Mooney has extensive experience in the engineering field, particularly in the aerospace and mechanical sectors. Currently serving as a Principal Launch Engineer at SpaceX since April 2018, Alex has held various roles including Lead Launch Engineer, Sr. Launch Engineer, and Launch Engineer II. Prior to SpaceX, Alex worked at Black & Veatch from June 2013 to April 2018 as a Mechanical Engineer, leading the design of mechanical process systems for municipal water and wastewater projects. Earlier experience includes a Mechanical Engineering Internship at Deltrol Fluid Products, where Alex designed a pneumatic manifold for Cystic Fibrosis patients while collaborating with international customers. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri, earned from 2008 to 2013, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution.
