Christopher Bowman is a Principal Launch Engineer at SpaceX, a position held since July 2007, where responsibilities include the mechanical design and analysis of the Aft End launch system for the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch systems, as well as managing a functional team for the LC-39A launch system development for NASA's Commercial Crew Program. Prior to SpaceX, Christopher Bowman worked as a Structural Design Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation from June 2004 to July 2007, focusing on the design of key structural components for the F-35 Lightning II and collaborating with various teams to meet design standards. Christopher Bowman holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from UCLA.
