Cooper McDonnell is currently a senior at Santa Clara University studying mechanical engineering, where they are working on a CubeSat design project with a team of engineers. From 2019 to 2022, Cooper served as a Principal Aerodynamics Engineer at SpaceX, contributing to various roles including Thermal Engineer and Senior Aerothermal Engineer. Prior to this, they gained experience as a Thermal Engineering Intern at SSL from 2015 to 2017, conducting thermal analysis and hardware testing. Cooper has a longstanding passion for aerospace and is focused on a career in the industry.
