Dereck Ioos is a highly skilled aerospace engineer with extensive experience in propulsion and manufacturing. Currently serving as a Lead Build Engineer and Lead Propulsion Engineer at SpaceX since April 2019, Dereck specializes in Raptor turbopumps and components. As the founder and president of Cyclone Rocketry, Dereck led the team to achieve impressive rankings at the IREC Spaceport America Cup. Previous roles include Senior Mechanical Engineering Technician at Boyd Laboratory, where rapid prototyping skills were honed, and a Product Engineering Intern at NSK, focusing on enhancing facility efficiency.
