Derek Lore

Derek Lore is a Senior Software Engineer at SpaceX, where they focus on developing software to facilitate human missions to Mars. Previously, they held positions at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as an Avionic Systems Engineering Intern, and at The Aerospace Corporation as a Cyber Security Engineering Intern, where they created software to safeguard satellites. Derek also gained experience as an Intellectual Property Legal Intern at Cislo & Thomas LLP and as an Electrical Engineering Intern at General Atomics. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating with a 3.98 GPA.
