Dima Tretiak

Dima Tretiak is an AI Software Engineer II at SpaceX since June 2025, focusing on the development of AI surrogate models to enhance engineering simulations for the Starship. Dima has previously held positions at SpaceX as an Associate Engineer and a Graduate Intern, contributing to thermal engineering for Starlink and conducting thermal and fluid analysis for the Falcon Heavy and Dragon. As a Graduate Researcher at the University of Washington, Dima worked on Physics Enforced Reservoir Computing to embed conservation laws into machine learning forecasts. Prior experience includes roles at RTX, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Los Alamos National Laboratory, involving fluid dynamics, optimization, and machine learning research. Dima holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington.
