Edward Cai

Edward Cai is an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer currently working at SpaceX since August 2023. Prior to this role, Edward held an internship at New Ascent, where responsibilities included designing a GPS and LoRa-based tracking system and developing hardware requirements. As Avionics Systems Lead at UMDLoop, Edward designed and built the electrical system for a tunnel boring machine and ensured effective integration of various components. Additional experience includes serving as a Store Technician at Airarm Sports, focusing on the servicing of airsoft weapons while also managing retail operations. Edward holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, along with a high school diploma from River Hill High School.
