Jacob McKenzie

VP, Raptor at SpaceX

Jacob McKenzie has extensive experience in propulsion engineering, primarily with SpaceX, where roles include Vice President of Raptor, Senior Director of Raptor, and various engineering positions spanning from 2015 to the present. Prior to SpaceX, Jacob served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Sloan Automotive Laboratory and Biomimetic Robotics Laboratory at MIT, contributing to advanced research from 2009 to 2015. Earlier experience includes work as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Berkeley Manufacturing Institute and an Engineering Intern at Make Magazine. Jacob McKenzie holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
