Jamie Shaffer

Jamie Shaffer is currently the Chief Mate at SpaceX, having taken on the role in 2024. They previously served as Captain at UnCruise Adventures from 2023 to 2024, and have a rich maritime background with positions such as Mate at Marine Towing of Tampa and Boatman with the Tampa Bay Pilots Association. Jamie was also the CEO of MTC Maritime Training Center from 2017 to 2024 and has held various leadership roles in maritime operations since starting their career in 2008. Educated in industrial studies at Pioneer Jr Sr High School, Jamie reflects on their career as one filled with terrific opportunities.
