Jared Metter is an accomplished aerospace engineer and leader with extensive experience at SpaceX since July 2013, currently serving as Director of Flight Reliability, overseeing mission success and executing launch readiness processes as Launch Chief Engineer. Prior to SpaceX, Jared held various roles at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Corporation, including Senior Systems Engineer, where responsibilities included leading detailed test plans for satellite systems, and supporting launch system integration for SBIRS while also training anomaly resolution teams. Jared's engineering background is rooted in a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
