Jason Kent

Jason Kent is a Principal Mechanical Engineer at SpaceX, where they currently leverage their extensive experience in mechanical engineering and design. With a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans, Jason contributed to the development of critical spacecraft mechanisms and propulsion components over several years. Previous roles include serving as a Sr. Engineer for Dragon Mechanisms and a Lead Components Engineer, where they focused on the design and reliability of reusable Falcon launch vehicle components. Earlier, they gained hands-on experience as a Test Engineer Intern at Pratt & Whitney and conducted research as an Aerothermal Laboratory Research Assistant at the University of New Orleans Energy Conversion and Conservation Center.
