Design Reliability Engineering Manager (human Spaceflight) at SpaceX

Jill Lewis is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in design reliability and certification management, currently serving as the Design Reliability Engineering Manager for Human Spaceflight at SpaceX since January 2013. In this role, Jill develops the certification and systems engineering approach for NASA's Human Landing System program and leads the adjudication of program standards and requirements. Previous positions at SpaceX include Lead Structures Certification Engineer, ensuring vehicle compliance across Falcon and Dragon programs, and Composite Manufacturing Engineer, overseeing part and process ownership for composite components. Prior to SpaceX, Jill was involved in chassis manufacturing as a Technical Advisor for Global Formula Racing, and held engineering roles at Intel Corporation and Sure Power Industries. Jill holds a Master of Science in Engineering Design from the University of Bath and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University.
