Jon Herman is an experienced aerospace engineer with a focus on guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems, currently serving as the Manager of Fleet Management GNC at SpaceX since January 2016. Previously, Jon held roles as Lead GNC Engineer and GNC Engineer at SpaceX. Academic experience includes a Research Assistant position at the University of Colorado at Boulder from August 2012 to September 2015, a Visiting Student Researcher position at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and a Visiting Scholar role at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Earlier roles include SpaceTech Program Officer and student assistant at TU Delft, as well as Secretary for VSV 'Leonardo da Vinci'. Jon holds a PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution.
