Jose Gomez

Jose Gomez is a propulsion engineer with a strong background in aerospace engineering, currently employed at Space Exploration Technologies since December 2014. In the role of Propulsion Responsible Engineer since July 2020, Jose has designed and analyzed hardware for propulsion systems, specified qualification test requirements, and led anomaly investigations to ensure program reliability. Prior to this, as a Propulsion Build Engineer, responsibilities included developing build flows for prototype vehicles and overseeing the transition of sub-systems to production. Jose has also held positions as a Junior Engineer at Aero Tech Aviation Design, LLC. and as an undergraduate researcher at Gas Dynamics Imaging Laboratory and Dr. Susan Brooks' Physiology Lab. Jose earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2015.
