Joy Plecker

Joy Plecker is a highly experienced professional in materials science and engineering, currently serving as Sr. Manager of Supplier Development at SpaceX since May 2017, with a career progression from Lead Supplier Development Engineer to Manager of Supplier Development and Sr. Supplier Technology Engineer. Prior to SpaceX, Joy Plecker worked at Caterpillar Inc. for over a decade, holding various roles including Metallurgical Sr Engineer in Hydraulics, where expertise in materials processing and supplier assessment was applied, and Metallurgical Engineer focusing on friction welding and failure analysis. Joy Plecker earned a Bachelor's degree in Material Science & Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2006.
