Kumar Modepalli

Kumar Modepalli is an accomplished Power Electronics Engineer currently employed at SpaceX since January 2024. Previously, Kumar served as a Hardware Development Engineer at Apple from September 2017 to January 2024, specializing in the design and integration of inductive charging modules. Kumar's earlier experience includes a role as Sr. Power Electronics Engineer at FINsix Corporation, focusing on high-density DC-DC power converters, and as a Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where innovative soft-switching converters were developed. Additional positions held include roles at Maxim Integrated, Philips Electronics India Ltd, and Samtel Color LTD, contributing to various power electronics projects and circuit designs. Kumar holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as well as an M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a B.Tech from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
