Matt Thompson is currently self-employed and has held various roles in environmental health and safety. They worked as a Senior Director at SpaceX from 2015 to 2025 and served as the Environmental Health and Safety Manager at Space Exploration Technologies since 2012. Previously, they were a Project Manager and NEPA/Water Resources Team Lead at URS Corporation from 2005 to 2012. Matt is pursuing a Bachelor of Science and an Honors degree in Environmental Management at the University of Cape Town, as well as a Master's in Environmental Resources Management from Texas State University-San Marcos.
