Melissa Cauthen

Melissa Cauthen (Hill) is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mission operations and power systems within the aerospace industry. Currently serving as the Manager of Mission Operations at SpaceX since January 2015, Melissa has also held positions as Lead Mission Operations Engineer and Mission Operations Engineer. Prior experience includes working as an Engineer III and ISS Flight Controller at United Space Alliance, where responsibilities included managing power systems for the International Space Station and leading teams during critical missions. Melissa's career began with a focus on energy forecasting at Direct Energy and further honed skills in project management and quality engineering through various roles, culminating in a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego.
