Nik Butler

Nik Butler is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and construction. At SpaceX, Nik held multiple roles as Lead Starship Engineer and Launch Engineer, focusing on Starship assembly, factory development, and pre-launch integration. Previous experience includes working as a Surveyor for Prosser-Dagg Construction and serving as a Research Assistant at both the University of Alaska Anchorage and the University of Idaho, contributing to projects in wind energy and robotic exoskeleton design. Nik began a career in mechanics and pipelaying with BC Excavating. Nik holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage, achieved with a 3.75 GPA, and has additional studies at the University of Idaho with a perfect 4.00 GPA.
