Nikolai Orlov

Nikolai Orlov currently serves as Principal Hardware Engineer at SpaceX, advancing space hardware development and manufacturing since May 2023. Prior to that role, Nikolai founded and led Nikor Technology - Consulting, managing independent projects related to high power and high-voltage precision piezo and laser drivers. As a Sr. Avionics Hardware Engineer at Blue Origin and previously as Sr. Director of Engineering at Lumotive, Nikolai played key roles in avionics development and solid-state LIDAR technology, respectively. Additional experience includes senior hardware engineering positions at Amazon, Verizon, and Apple, where Nikolai contributed to innovative products like the Amazon One contactless authentication system and was instrumental in meeting critical release dates for various technology products. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Electronics and Physics from Moscow Power Engineering Institute.
