Robert Freeman

Robert Freeman is a highly experienced engineer specializing in propulsion and machining, currently serving as Lead Propulsion Engineer at SpaceX since October 2020. With a progression from Propulsion Engineer to Manufacturing Engineer within SpaceX, Robert has developed expertise in Raptor Machining. Prior to SpaceX, Robert worked as a Test Engineer at Innovative Engineering Solutions, where responsibilities included designing test fixtures and programming PLCs for aerospace components. Robert's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and an Associate of Science in Physics from Santiago Canyon College. Additional experience includes roles as a Student Projects Machinist, Operational Excellence Intern, and Engineering Intern, complemented by early career work as a Sales Associate.
