Sean Torrence

Sean Torrence has extensive experience as a Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX since November 2012, progressing from a Technical Writer to a Manufacturing Engineer II. Responsibilities include the production, assembly, and testing of propulsion components for the Dragon program, the development of high-pressure fluid transport systems, and the creation of effective assembly instructions. Sean has successfully resolved manufacturing discrepancies, supported the production of welded assemblies, and led capital equipment upgrades. Prior experience includes project leadership and research roles at Innovate to Grow and UC Berkeley, focusing on microfluidic devices and materials derived from silk worms. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Merced.
