Steve Durant

Steve Durant possesses extensive experience in aerospace and aircraft maintenance, currently serving as Build Supervisor for Crew Starship Development at SpaceX since December 2012. Prior roles at SpaceX include Production Supervisor for the Dragon Spacecraft and Lead Structural Technician overseeing the Dragon Components Clean Room. Prior to joining SpaceX, Steve Durant served in the Royal Air Force from February 2003 to May 2012, holding various positions including Structural Airframe Technician and Senior Aircraft Technician, where responsibilities encompassed repair and maintenance of aircraft such as the VC10 and C17. Steve Durant also has significant leadership experience in hydraulics and fuel maintenance roles. Educational qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Computing and Mathematical Sciences from The Open University, along with A-Levels and GCSEs from institutions in Leicester.
