Susan DeWael

Susan DeWael is currently a Lead Test Engineer at SpaceX, where they lead a team focused on critical test support for various projects, including motor and actuator development. Previously, they held positions at GE Aviation and Spirit AeroSystems, contributing to engineering processes as a Mechanical Engineering Intern and a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, respectively. Susan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Their extensive experience at SpaceX has included roles such as Component Test Engineer II and Component Manufacturing Engineer II, where they managed critical aspects of production and testing for aerospace components.
