Tomas Vlach has a diverse engineering background with significant experience in aerospace. From June 2017 to May 2021, Tomas worked at GE Aviation as an Engineer in Aero, Performance & Thermal Engineering. Following this role, Tomas served as a Graduate Researcher in Turbine Engine Test Engineering at Virginia Tech from July 2021 to May 2023 while also advancing to Launch Engineer II at SpaceX from May 2023 to March 2025, focusing on launch control. Currently, Tomas is a Senior Launch Engineer at SpaceX, beginning in March 2025. In addition to professional experience, Tomas is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Aerospace Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Virginia Tech, expected to be completed in 2024.
