Walter Gurr

Walter Gurr is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on power electronics and electrical engineering. Currently, as the Manager of Power Electronics at SpaceX since April 2013, Walter designs cutting-edge power electronics for aerospace applications. Previously, Walter served as the Manager of Electrical Engineering at Northrop Grumman Corporation, leading a team of 35 engineers to deliver various electrical design solutions for a $700M division. Walter has also held key positions at Korry Electronics, managing projects related to LED indicators and controls for aircraft systems, and has extensive experience from roles at Universal Avionics Systems Corporation, Oscmar International Ltd, and Auckland UniServices Limited, contributing to various avionics and military electronics projects. Walter holds a Master of Engineering in Power Electronics and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from The University of Auckland.
