William Straub

Fluid Systems Engineer

William Straub is a chemical engineer with extensive experience in research and development within aerospace and chemical processing. Notably, Straub served as an Undergraduate Research Associate at NASA Minnesota Space Grant Consortium, where the design and fabrication of a thermal-vacuum chamber were completed for stratospheric condition simulations. Subsequent roles included an Undergraduate Research Engineer position at NASA, focusing on data collection for stratospheric ballooning projects, and a Teaching Assistant role at the University of Minnesota, where instructional materials for aerospace engineering were developed. At the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering, Straub designed and scaled-up chemical process systems and developed a patented ammonia absorbent. Currently, Straub is a Fluid Systems Engineer at SpaceX. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, graduating with a GPA of 3.81.
