Arnaldo Arancibia

Arnaldo Arancibia, PhD, is a highly experienced electrical systems architect and engineer with a diverse background in battery management systems, high voltage powertrains, and hardware design. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Electrical Systems Architect at SPAN since February 2024, Arnaldo previously held the position of Lead Staff Systems Engineer at Stafl Systems, where responsibilities included designing high voltage systems for autonomous VTOL aircrafts and electric yachts. Past roles include Senior Hardware Design Engineer at Elektronische Fahrwerksysteme GmbH, where Arnaldo contributed to innovative BMS designs and validation methods for autonomous driving. As Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Franaldo LLP, cost-saving hardware designs were achieved for solar energy management systems. With an academic background featuring a PhD from Technische Universität Berlin and lecturing experience, Arnaldo possesses a solid foundation in electrical and electronics engineering, complemented by hands-on project engineering work at Fundación Chile.
