Christopher Sommerfeld

Christopher Sommerfeld has a diverse work experience in the energy and sustainability sectors. Christopher is currently working as the Director of Technician Experience at SPAN, starting in August 2023. Previously, they held various roles at Sunrun, including Senior Director of Performance Engineering, Quality, and Training, Director of Performance Engineering and Monitoring, Director of Field Efficiency and Quality, Senior Manager of Field Operations, Field Operations Manager, and Fleet Operations Manager. Christopher also worked at SunPower Corporation as a Senior Technical Trainer, where they developed training programs and collaborated with various departments to improve products and documentation. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager at Independent Energy Systems and as a Sustainable Systems Manager at Cape Eleuthera Institute, leading environmental initiatives in both roles.

Christopher Sommerfeld holds a degree in History with a field of study in Environmental Studies from Williams College.
