Matt Smuda

Matt Smuda has over 5 years of experience in the field of power electronics engineering. Matt is currently working as a Power Electronics Engineer at Span since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Miller Electric Mfg. LLC as a Power Electronics Engineer from June 2018 to December 2021. Additionally, they have experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they assisted in the development of educational slides on renewable energies and conducted research on the cost of implementing residential solar panels. Before that, they worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Miller Electric Mfg. LLC, where they assisted in the design and implementation of welding inverters and tested the design of output rectifiers and high frequency transformers.

Matt Smuda attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2013 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 2019 to 2020, they pursued a Graduate Capstone Certificate in Power Conversion and Control from the same university.
