SPARC Lab Consulting brings together senior public health practitioners with deep experience in communication strategy, behavioral science, and applied research. Our founding team built careers inside CDC, academia, and nonprofits, designing national campaigns, conducting formative and evaluation research, and leading programs at the population level.
We formed SPARC Lab to make that experience directly accessible to organizations working on public health and social impact challenges. We are thoughtful, direct, and easy to work with. We ask good questions, give honest answers, and stay focused on what will actually help.
Our experience spans a wide range of issue areas, including HIV prevention, sexual health, tobacco, cancer, immunization, and social justice education, and a range of audiences, from community members and consumers to healthcare providers and partner organizations. That breadth informs how we approach every new challenge: with practical judgment, context-awareness, and a commitment to solutions that are realistic and built for use.
We diagnose before we design. That means understanding what is driving the outcomes you are trying to change before recommending any strategy. It means being honest about what communication can and cannot do. And it means building equity into the process from the start, including active assessment of unintended effects.
