Qasim Afghan, Ph.D., served as Data Lead at Spark Commodities. They completed a Ph.D. at UCL from 2019 to 2023, focusing on the structural analysis of cometary dust tails using the Finson-Probstein model. During their academic career, they were part of the Comet Interceptor ESA Mission Proposal Science Team and contributed to the predicted comet-satellite interaction with Solar Orbiter. Qasim also gained diverse experience through internships in various organizations, including an eCommerce service setup and roles in trading operations and compliance.
