Jonathan Sato

Jonathan Sato is the current COO at Sparkfish, a company they have been with since 2017. Prior to that, they were the Applications Development Manager at DCS Information Systems from January 2012 to April 2017. There, they were responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of data solutions and software applications. Jonathan also managed budgets for developer salaries, training, and software purchases and licenses, and led recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts during company growth. From July 2008 to January 2012, Jonathan was the Lead Software Developer at MyOpenJobs. There, they were responsible for the development of a suite of online recruiting websites for trade industries with combined traffic among all sites over 120,000 unique monthly visitors. Jonathan also led a team of developers in the creation of an MVC web application to connect industry trade schools and their students with over 200,000 potential employers. Additionally, they managed all aspects of development-related IT functions, including new software development and deployments, server provisioning, monitoring, maintenance, and evaluating and purchasing software tools. Jonathan implemented tools and practices such as git, Continuous Integration, TDD, and Dependency Injection to improve code quality and reduce development time.

Jonathan Sato has a BBA in Management Information Systems from the Texas McCombs School of Business. Jonathan is certified by Microsoft in MCSD: App Builder and by PwC in Human-Centered Design and Digital Acumen.
