Andrew Duffy is the co-founder and CEO of SparkPlug. Andrew was previously the founder and CTeaO of Sky & Wyatt, helping people have their moment with organic, whole-leaf tea. Andrew built a luxury product, sustainable supply chain, thriving DTC community of loyal e-commerce purchasers, and network of distribution and retail partners from elite local establishments (Spa at the St. Julienne) to beloved national grocery chains (Sprouts Organic Market).
Before that, they were an Investment Associate & Product Manager at Bridgewater Associates, starting in their Client Service department helping the world's largest pension and sovereign wealth funds understand markets, protect their portfolios, and allocate capital intelligently. Among many other projects, they developed financial models for Japanese and Australian equity markets, Central Bank of Mexico policy, and cryptocurrency pricing trends (he thought Bitcoin at $4k was overpriced in mid-2017, go figure).
Andrew then moved to their Research division where they created quantitative indices of economic uncertainty and suffering as a member of the personal research team for founder Ray Dalio and created long term forecasts for CIO Greg Jensen to predict the impact of alternative energy and electric vehicles on oil demand.
Andrew was ultimately recruited by the head of the Trading department to be the first product manager for the Disruptive Technologies lab. Andrew led a team of 4 developers (including Stanford PhDs, 100x smarter than him) using modern machine learning techniques to optimize trading strategies and
Andrew Duffy has a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in Psychology and Economics and a High School Diploma from St. Albans School (D.C.).
