Sandy Simpson

Sandy Simpson has extensive work experience in the engineering field. They have held various roles with increasing responsibility and have worked for multiple companies throughout their career. Sandy's most recent position was as the Head of Engineering at Sparrows Group, where they provided technical support and advice, checked designs and calculations, and prepared engineering reports. Prior to that, they served as the Global Technical Authority for Hydraulics at Sparrows Group and as an Engineering Manager. Sandy also has experience in project engineering, hydraulic design, and management of hydraulic projects. They have worked for companies such as Elmar Services Ltd, Thule Rigtech, Micron Eagle Hydraulics, and Shell, where they gained experience in maintenance and production activities. Sandy has been in the industry since 1986, starting as a Trainee Operations Technician at Shell.

Sandy Simpson attended The Gordon Schools, Huntly from 1981 to 1986. From 1986 to 1989, they studied at North East Scotland College and earned a Higher National Certificate in Multi-disciplinary Engineering. Then, from 1992 to 1995, they pursued a degree in Engineering Technology (mechanical & electrical) at Robert Gordon University, graduating with a BEng (Hons). Lastly, from 1996 to 2004, they attended the University of Bath and completed industrial courses in Hydraulic Engineering.
