David Smoot is an accomplished embedded engineer with extensive experience in systems development and integration across various industries. Currently serving as an Even More Senior Embedded Engineer at Sparx Engineering since February 2010, David has significantly contributed to projects including agricultural robotics and military aerospace cooling systems. Previous roles include Lead Embedded Software Engineer, where David worked on life support devices, and Senior Software Engineer at Wyle Integrated Science and Engineering Group, leading software development for the COLBERT treadmill on the International Space Station. David's background also includes positions in FPGA development, hardware and software troubleshooting, and nuclear machinist training with the US Navy. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
